    hello everyone,

went to the taiwan shop. saw lots of eriocaulon cinereum. the aunty claimed that a customer propagated them and gave it to her.

how does this plant propagate anyway? read in oriental catalogue and kasselmann and aquarium world mag that it is an annual.
i used to have one of it. it grew luxuriantly for a year or so before it died without any reason. it didn't even put out any inflorescence.....

Propagation depends on which sp you referring to. The one that the Taiwan lady has, can still grow to about 1.5 x bigger. It propagates by have side suckers. It is also very sensitive to the water parameters hence when you are not as attentive (for me), it starts to melt...
I dont think its an annual plant since I've been growing mine for > 1 year.

    hello,

what are side suckers? are you talking about runners? is that the way yours propagated?

i hope to find the way soon, so i don't have to spend like $8 for one plant.
