    Hi all,

Is there a method I can use to dry up my salt, meant for bs hatching. It got a bit damp lately. Will putting them under the sun helps? Or perhaps melt them further?

Yes putting them under the sun to undergo normal evaporation of the water will be enough to retain the salt itself in the pan.

    Hi Gan,

Is your salt the very expensive type that you need to go into all that trouble. I have been hatching BBS for a long time since my hubby's discus days. The main factor that would affect hatch rate will alway be the quality of the BBS that you have. Top quality BBS leaves only little unhatched eggs.

I bought 3kg packet for BBS hatching for S$1.40. So far have no problem hatching them, in fact usually have to throw away the excess BBS down the sink.

So don't bother about the dampness in the salt.
