    Hi all,

Long time no write... Been very busy, partly with my planted tank.

My tanks is looking very nice and is largely algae free, except for some hair algae that is now growing off a piece of drift wood. Other than that, nothing! Not even on the glass, and I haven't cleaned that in months.

Any idea what fish I can add to the tank to deal with the algae, but will leave the plants, shrimp, white clouds and emperor tetras and their fry alone?

Oo! Oo! I've started my first moss wall! Pictures to come soon!

    Thanks

    Hi, Tyrone,

Good to have you back with us. I trust all is well.

Over here, we usually use Otocinclus affinis but they're only good for green spot and brown algae. Mollies, Guppies and Barbs will eat hair algae if you keep them hungry.

By the way, you will need a special item for your planted tank and I'm going to send it to you. Please let me have your address through private message. If you're wondering what's the special item, click here.
