    Hi guys,

Just like to know, whether a wider tank or a taller tank is better for Discus. After the trip to Gan's, I am very very eh. 'motivated' to go for it, but as usual, there are some decisions to make. I currently have a 3 ft x 1.3ft x 1.3ft tank and a 2ft x 1.5 ft x 1.5ft, which would be more suitable for a few discus? I have also acquired a second hand Fluval 303 filter and will begin tank cycling as soon as I decide which tank the discus will be going into.

Simon, it is a good idea to mix heckels and local bred discus?

like what lsz signature states.. "no tank is big enuff"
following the 1" per gallon, and u shld do fine... and it shldnt be a prob mixing tankbred with wild ones... but u need to observe them

a bigger tank is always better for any fish...

remember to do water change frequently, if u overfeed them.. one thing good abt Gan's heckel or discus, is he has started to feed them dry food...
