this tank is before trimming and some of the plants are not fully grown yet.
i'm still waiting for mm to grow taller than the driftwood.
also, remove all app and awaiting glosso to cover the ground.

Very nice. That lotus is indeed a good contrast. How old is your tank?

Rarely does such a nice looking tank comes along.
Simple choice of a few plants can still make a nice tank. Keep it up!

Budak, you are right. the left plant is najas indica.

The following are the within the setup.

Gravel - forgotten what's the name, but it's commonly used 2-3mm type.
    Base Fert - JBL
    Supplement - JBL Ferrotabs
Liquid Fert - Seachem flourish, potassium, equilibrium.
    Filter - Ehiem 2235
    Lightnings - 4x36w PLs (10 hrs: 2pm - 12am)
    C02 - 2BPS on solenoid
    Temp - 24-28
    PH - 6.8
    KH - 3

Additional accessories - Rainbar, surface skimmer

I have no other test kits for nitrate, etc. I depends a lot on plants/fish reaction.

I don't see spot algae on my tank but can't conclude that it's not there.

I use ice cubes to top up water, find that this way bring down the temp as well. The ice cube is the size of 1.5l mineral bottle, I cut it into 2 parts.

Very pretty, simple but so effective.

Ice cubes for top-up? that's a pretty groovy idea. Have you measured by how much it drops the water temperature?

    Are those Cherry barbs?

    eggz,
the temp drops around 3 degrees for my tank..
so the lowest it ever goes is 23-24 for the evening and it hover around 25-26 after that.
the orangie fish is rosy barb, use to have hair algae all over but these guys help to finish them off. it's a sight to see them munching. ever since, the hair algae is gone...

    david,
    don't like that leh...
