Looks great, is this also known as dragon claw?
Hi, folks,
I was at Karin's fish shop at Far East Aquatic the other day and she showed me a beautiful plant from Tropica. The plant was in emersed form but I think it's the same as the one we call "Chendol plant". Singaporeans who have seen this plant in SamYick's tank would know what a beautiful foreground plant it is. It forms a mat that is very dense. The leaves are so close to each other there are no gaps in between.
Here is a picture of the plant in a Tropica's pot. It's in emersed form.
Here you can see the scientific name. We have always known that it's a Utricularia but the species name has never been confirmed:
Here's a picture of the root structure.
Please do not ask me about the prices. If you are interested, call Karin. You can reach her at: 6383 3733.

You can if you dare to fail - Stan Chung
Stan,
If it's the Chendol, then it would also be the Dragon's Claw plant. Both names refer to the same plant but the Chendol name, coined by a hobbyist, is more popular.
By the way, Stan, please take note that over here in killies.com, we set a very high standard on how users should present their posts. Please make the effort to capitalise your sentences. Please also do not go "dot dot dot" between sentences. Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. New here and very nice pictures and articles.

I like it! Any pictures of anyone using it as a foreground plant yet?

Oliver Knott was the one who forced me to do everything I could to get the first load of plants ever imported in The Netherlands:

And off course it looks good in our tanks.Originally Posted by Marco Aukes

KL, you previously posted this plant last year after the day you bought it--did it grew successfully in your tank?
I wasn't able to grow the plant, Randall. After a while, it was in bits and pieces. I'm trying again with another small bunch but this time, it's going into my cube tank which has ADA soil as a substrate. I've no confidence that it will grow though. As far as I know, Samyick's (a local fish shop) is the only one in Singapore that grows it well.
