Hi, besides foraging the bottom searching for worms, hiding in caves etc.
what are their other behaviours? Can't seem to find a site that explains their behaviours..
There's some hair algae on my vals and i've noticed my C.pandas grazing the plants, as if searching for snails, or eating algae? Do they?
    Thanks.

Never heard or seen them eating Algae or Snails.
They are quite "blind". So probably sniffing around.

I have always attributed this behaviour to them searching for food, there will be a lot of microscopic life in the living amongst the algae.
Pygmaeus and Hastatus are more likely to feed in this way from what I have witnessed.

thanks for the reply,i was just curious asi;vealways thought of them strictly as bottom feeders. They've certainly liven things up "foraging" the upper parts of the drift wood. Even my clown swims at all levels, and sometimes the kuhli.

And yea,any of you cory fanatics know where i can get a good reference book on corydoras? I've tried borders and kinokuniya,is ordering online the last option? What about that guy, Dr Ian? Can't seem to find his book anywhere. Are there any LFS that carry a wide selection of books?

    thanks!
