Hy! I'm a new member and I live in Croatia ( Europe ). Your site is great and I found a lot's of useful informations. Iamb young ( 15 years ) moss lover, but i have only java, xi-mass and willow moss because there are no other mosses here... I barely get those 3... I would like to ask you if you now some what that I could get some other mosses?

Same problem here....It's hard to find various mosses in here too. Do you live in a city, or do you have chance to go and collect native mosses?
Collecting is great, if you have chance. I just collected many nice species, like Warnstorfia trichophylla and Calliergon cordifolium.
If there's other people who love aquatic mosses at Croatia, you would try buying mosses from them as well. It's possible to buy mosses even from another countries.
No, I live in village... yes I do collect some mosses around but only emersed because there are no any submerged except Wilow moss- rarely- there are no others ... Some collected mosses even grow submerged but didn't look very attractive... till now I collected about 12 different mosses but as I said they are not something special, most of them submerged looks like Stringy moss...

Then you can buy/trade them with people from another countries. Here at Finland, we have lots of moss lovers who actually have mosses but we didn't have them two or three years ago. One hobbyist buys mosses and rest do the same...

Timebomb: I could get them now, but my tankas are kinda messy... Shinnersia rivularis and javamoss have grown too well in here... I'm soon rescaping them.
