    Can't help noticing this layer of green color hair algae on the tank wall can look so good.

    i have often thought that some algae i see growing in aquariums and rivers is very pleasing to the eye, i would one day like to do an algae only tank but unfortunately there is too much information on destroying algae out there to find any on cultivating, it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

    I agree blink_willie it is usually the very fine hair like algae which i see growing on driftwood that catches my eye, it looks to me like green smoke rising from the wood.

    does anybody know about the Oedogonium sp. that they use in poland? it seems very similar to marimo balls but faster growing.
