After I dose Anti white spot Med my APP nearly died. Now after 2 months of replanting and experimenting with the remaining few I have finally got them back to their full bloom.

    very nice!!!

Is that one single piece of wood (boat shape from left to right of tank) or an amalgamation?

    I like:
Blyxa as background plant - a deceptively simple yet elegant effect.
Twin patches of large hygrophila stricta which contrast well with the two water lilies at the sides.
Elatine - easy to grow but difficult to tame plant

    WOuld like to see:
more Eustralis since the few stems you have look very healthy.
a little more assymetry. but maybe when the Nuphar gets bigger it will help break up the 50:50 look of the tank.

    Hi Budak,

Only a small small piece of wood. Ya the Nuphar have just been trimmed. Cuz covered the lights. The Crypts are new to the tank and are growing well. But ran out of space for them actually.

Your tank is one of the nicest in AQ. Who knows you might sweep away the metal halide set in the coming contest.
    Well done!!

Mark: How does your H.Stricta grows? Fast? I got several Hygrophilas from Teo's and thought one of them resembled the "Stricta" but it grows very very slow. Started at about 3", after two months, it's just 10". Like that it would take forever to be a background plant. Teo mentioned that the species I bought was a Dutch variety -- maybe a cultivar?

    Hi all,

Thanls for the comment. Sorry for late replies, Cuz just go back from Sarawak. The Fert is dennerle Standard dosage E15, P7 and V30. I think APP does not really require so much light. I use shaded light with Hortwort or lotus.

Juggler: I think you may may accidentally damanged the stem. I use scissors to cut it to prevent damage to the plant. I got the plant from Serangoon. Mine now grow more new stems on its tip.

    Cheers

Agree about the APP... it may need as much light as we think. But it is very sensitive to nutrient defiency.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
