There are a lot of subterranean streams inside the dark cave passage of Borneo. In this trip, I found a cave loach & cave crab!!! And, according to the information we received, we went to explore a cascade & then went up stream & discovered another subterranean stream in a place that we never expected to find. The whole journey was dangerous but it was an exciting adventure journey!

A dead juvenile of cave swiftlet is becoming the food of scavenger: freshwater snail (Clea sp.)

After lunch, we went to explore another cave. To find it, we have to do a bit of climbing in the cascade & waterfall areas. This place is even more dangerous than the previous one cos the rocks are very slippery. We need to leave our shoes at the foothill & using our bare foot to walk on the rocks & do climbing. Very exciting adventure trip!

    Beautiful waterfall.

    Climbing to the upper part:

    There are lots of cascade!

At 4pm, we couldn't find the cave. Danny, our team leader climbed up to search for cave. 15 minutes later, he found it. To reach there is another challenge.....we needed to walk on the razor sharp limestone & do a bit of climbing....somemore, we're bare foot! There is a species of tiny red ants crawling all over our bodies & bit us! It was very painful bite, but we couldn't turn back but advance. The cave is the entrance of another subterranean stream. Because it was getting dark, we had to leave that secret garden. On the way down, it rained heavily. It's trully an amazing adventure trip.
