Composition wise I like picture 4. The "bird on a stick" is getting a bit too overused.

I am not a bird photographer, but by and large the pics are nice.. not WOW but nice....

pics are grainy... the Nikon D700 and D3 should solve that problem....

If you can go at eye level with the bird, that may give a different perspective to the pic as well....

Wonderful shots! You need to try wild brids next. They are absolutely lovely! We have over 300 species of birds in Singapore resident and migratory. You will need at least a 400mm zoom lens to take wild birds. Before I got my DSLR, I "digiscoped", meaning to say, I paired a bird spotting scope to my Nikon coolpix digital camera. Alot more difficult to frame flying birds, but excellent for shooting birds from an extremely far range.
Some of my bird photos (from my trip to Langkawi last year), although I have not been able to really keep up with the hobby. Maybe one day can organise a trip into the forest to shoot some forest species.
