    Hi,

I would like to add that I did not have any luck with tiger and bee shrimps in my main tank previously (usually will die within a few days / weeks after adding them in). However, recently, I bought some of these shrimps again and just threw them in a 1/4 filled tank without any equipment attached. It has been more than 3 months and these shrimps are still alive.

I suspect that these shrimps (tiger and bee) cannot tolerate the hard water of my main tank (kH 13), unlike other shrimps such as cherry and taiwan shrimps which are propagating in my main tank!

    Hi Illubomb,

Yes have had the same experience...KH usually around 6 and my shrimps were doing well.

Replanted my tank recently and KH up to 9 and have 3 casualties. Bought some yamatoes and bee shrimp...2 down...have decided to wait a few days to introduce them

I recently upped my CO2 to 47ppm to finish the remaining BBA in my tank. Didn't observe any strange behaviour or casualties in my shrimps.
    I'm back!

    Hi,

    Could someone help?

My current KH is 7, PH 6.5. Have put in some Malayan shrimp in my tank and all are doing fine. Got some cherrys, yamatoes and they don't seem to be able to last long...all die withn a day.
