    ok, this is a shot using my Nokia N73 and then cropped so it isn't the usual great macro shots taken by a DSLR......



    Can anyone help with the ID? The moth has a wing span of about 1.5cm. Thanks!!!

    Its all right luenny, I asked around in GCS forum too and was advised that it is a micro moth belonging to the family Crambidae, subfamily Spilomelinae. And there is a whole host of species looking roughly like this, mostly in the genus Omiodes (special thanks to Green Baron for the ID).

    This is why I am interested in this moth's ID.
