..........
I won't be focusing much on the creatures I spot
in S'pore as you guys may have encountered them
before. Here I have 2 Checkered Keelbacks that I
spotted in a few waterfalls I went to view in India.
The first snake was basking on a rock when I spotted it.
Here it is.
After having enough of me, it decided to slither away into the water.
This is another individual, a much smaller and lighter-coloured one,
peeking from underneath a large rock.
Another shot of the smae snake.
I've encountered a roadkill of a Checkered Keelback too.
The images are guite gross so think twice about wanting
to view them or not.

Hmm ... saw this last time and wanted to reply by forgot. Very nice but the first snake looks like there is some white patches on the body. Is that the pattern or is it injured or something. Looks like skin peeling out.

Well...
I'm not really sure either!
It's been a long time since I met with this snake but I think those white patches are
dried fallen leaves or flowers. Or they could maybe some old skin that is still hanging
onto the body.

Nice snake! Thanks for sharing. Think it will be good to share the photos taken in Singapore too, since most of us are trapped inside concrete buildings most of the time to encounter these interesting creatures . Cheers!
Haha!
Yep its true, majority of the people here stay in buildings in urban areas, and some
don't even get to visit the nature reserves very often. Sure, Merviso, I'll add some
snakes from Singapore soon. But I need to find a few more to post them...
