    yes, sure have leeches in the jungle... even in those kampung durian orchard also, i kena, maybe because i was playing in the stream...

    thank you for these beautiful and interesting pictures!

    BTW, it's normal for Sphagnum moss to grow in black water. This kind of moss releases H+ ions and so it directly acidifies the water. Though I never thought that it grows also in SE Asian tropics.

    Yes, this species is called Sphagnum cuspidatum, usually found in north temperate zone but it's also can be found in blackwater stream of Borneo.
