Does anyone try ADA Phyton Git before? Does it help to prevent green spot algae on the rock and driftwood?

    ADA description:
Aquatic plants are known for secreting phytoncide to protect themselves from diseases and germs. Phyton Git is a formula which works gently with naturally extracted Phytoncide, as well as other disinfectant agents and helps aquatic plants to regain their natural strength.

when you drop on BBA or any algae (apply it out of water), put it back after few minutes than you will see the BBA on wood or plants turn white and shrimp will come and clear it.

If you just apply it into water than I've no comments as I didn't see any immediate effect. But of course if your keep dosing liquid fertilizer under strong light than ...

In the box there also have instruction to blackout your tank after applied it than change water....to reduce algae problem.

I see, my problem is with green spot on rock. I usually use tooth brush to brush it but after a while thinking is there any better solution. Otos won't be able to help and have not try snail.

I have tried using excel in syringe on green spot algae on nana leaves.. algae is gone but the part of the leaves turn slightly brown.
The role of master and servant begin to cloud in the water..

Try that before, don't really think that it work. My problem is only on the rock not on the glass. Honestly I never read any scientific explaination why phosphate able to stop/reduce green spot algae. Is it really work or urban legend ?

It actually works for me when the spots are on the glass. Not sure about it being on the rock though.

Maybe can wait for others to share their experience.

I am experiencing now on some new tanks which has green patches of algae on the rock. They are in patches rather than spots. I am also trying to rid them...

Hey Robert, have you found the solution to your algae problem.

I am just wondering will tiger oto help in anyway. Have you tried before? I know L. filamentosus will probably help as they did a really good job in clearing all the stubborn bba in my other catfish tank. However, I think the L. filamentosus is too big for a small tank (2ft for me). I am just trying to find an alternative that is as efficient.

Otos does not help but those flat hillstream loach (borneo sucker fish) does help. Saw one of the rock cleaner compare the rest after introduce them to the tank. but they only clean the flat area, if the rock have lots of feature, the unable to clean.
