    Hi! i nothing each time i add (overdose x2) my water will turn cloudy.. and no matter how much of bb solution even ADA(green bacter) i add, also cant get rid of the cloudiness, my tank has been around for sept last year. and solution to solve this problem?

    Your filter is too clean and Your tank is new. New tank sydrome perhaps. You must have done something that kills your colony of bacteria in the filter. Cloudiness always link with new tank sydrome. If not - overfeeding! But it is not possible in planted tank situation. Water cloudiness tend to happen more often in carnivores-only tank.

    I havent had experience overdosing excel... any reason why you are doing this ?

    hello. i am overdosing excel to kill away bba. i am not sure too.. why it turns cloudy. perhaps, it kills my bb too.

    Excel does kill off certain amount of bacteria but without knowing much about your tank and routine, it is generally a wild guess to the actual cause. I feel folks tend to overdo things just to get rid of BBA when in fact, you should just trim the infected leaves or scrub rocks/wood to remove it and focus on the CO2 or simply lower the demand via light intensity.

    Well, Flourish Excel is not an algaecide in the first place and is not advised to be used as such. So if you are going to overdose and use it, be aware of the consequences!
