    January 2009. It rains for so many days until I have no idea when was the last time I saw the warm & beautiful sun. The humidity is high & temperature is low. The monsoon rain has caused the low lying areas flooded in southern Sarawak.


    Some shots were taken from my home and the rest were taken on the streets & coastal areas.

    A lot of places are flooded.....and emergency evacuation is carrying out in Bau - Siniawan areas....it's getting worst! A lot of cars were broken down, so I was very worried when driving pass the flooded roads.

    The Star newspaper: "The floods in southern Sarawak have forced 104 schools to be closed on Monday while the number of people evacuated has jumped to over 9,500."

    Just now, (January 12) the king tide caused the low lying areas in Kuching flooded again in the late afternoon but water level receded very fast after 8.30pm.

    As far as I know the flood in Borneo has improved a lot. Few days ago, Kallimantan Barat areas such as Pontianak & Singkawang were flooded. Northern Borneo (Sabah) also hit by the flood (some low lying areas). The rain stopped yesterday...but then today raining almost whole day.

    Darn the weather is a bit unusual lately - to say the least. Over here in Singapore also very cooling. Usually it's very hot during CNY season. I think we may have done it this time. The world can never be the same again.
