Start fert dosing since day one.
Strong light will require more fert in general not only iron.
As mentioned many times.. iron is an important element in maintaining the redness in red coloured plants.
I would like to find out to what level and the kind of fertilizer you guys use to maintain your red plants...
and how long period before the 1st dosage of it to a new aquarium..
will too strong lighting require more iron input?

yes it does, though the uptake rate might be different
More Iron doesn't give you red plants.... Nitrogen stressed plants do due to exposure of the "inner layer" from lack of chlorophyll (green).
