hard to comment on yr layout since u didnt show a overall view, anyway, glad u r happy the plants are growing.. personally, I find the most enjoyable time is where u can sit and admire your tank.
Thanks Simon.
I have an expert (another forumer here) to teach me the ropes....
Btw, is my macrandra showing a lack of iron?
Keeping low nitrate is the way to boost the redness of the Rotala macrandra...

your macrandra looks new, but newer leaves on the top doesnt look red.. insert FE tabs if u have or dose with liquid fert
I think the stem plant amongst and in front of the crypts should be moved aside. very soon they will totally obscure everything.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Things looking good. I like to see the overall view as well.
BTW - the Hornwort in the 2nd pic seem to be planted. Need not do that because it is a floating plant.

Anyway, the top leaves are really greenish now. I have started on Mallick AquaGro. Have the Micros too. Have some chelated Fe powder from Dr. Mallick too. In the stage of adjusting the fertilizing regime now.
Yupe Hwchoy. Thanks for your comments. Bought the stem plant to try try... was hoping it'll stay short.. Apparently, it doesn't.----------------

eh.. what is the name of the plant beside my macrandra? i forgot the name already.. actually, i never really knew..
cheers!
wat other stuff u dosing with? heard potassium plays a part too, perharps someone like to confirm this? the plant next to yr R. macrandra is the Ludwigia brevipes, cant be L. arcuata, coz the leaf blade shld be narrower..
The new growth of mine is bright orange in colour....Maybe its my new fert regime..kena influence by Mr Tom Barr already..LOL...
Oh..if my eyes ain't wrong...I do see some new wimpy leaves? Might need to look into your fert regime...probably some calcium deficiency...but now am wondering if its the actual cause as my new regime does not include Calcium fertilization (Tap water GH = 3)..and yet my plants that has wimpy leaves before were back to glory.
NO3 = 5ppm (was high last time due to properly fish food or organic stuff rotting inside canister filter...since then remain quite constant and hopefully drops so as to indicate consumption)
PO4 = 0.5ppm (dose with potassium dihydrogen phosphate)
K = 20ppm (K2SO4)
Traces = 5ml TMG
CO2 = 30ppm
