There are a lot of them when i went to Toh's yesterday. The two forms:- blue type and gold morph are available.
sorry, may I know where is Toh's farm?
It is in LCK... Sorry, I cannnot remember the exact address.
I could only remember it is at YHE Fisheries(???),16 Lane 9(?), all the way down the slope.
Alternatively, I think Ah pek might have some too.

sorry to say this but... benny said LCK is too far.
you can find some at tiong bahru market. there are 2 fish shops there selling some nice rams (malaysian rams at 1.50 each and holland rams at 5)
take mrt to TB , cross the road to the condo side and walk back up the road (back towards outram park mrt direction)
should see it after 5 mins walk (on your right)
Cheers,
Melvin Lim
thanks
Found soon-heng also sell RAMs
they are priced at 2 levels .. 1.50 and 3.00
Suspect one is local RAM, the other is Hollan.
Can anyone confirm?
btw what is the diff between local and holland ram? Is the latter really imported from Holland?
benny, i doubt so... prolly raise locally.. which comes to my next point, if u search thekribs.com, u will read that foreigners have some problems with our local Ram.. coz be due to weak strain cause by inbreeding or poor water conditions
Simon, its thekrib.com la.
Thanks & Regards,
Trevor
thks for the url check
So how are local folks experience with locally bred Rams? If not much problem, then it means the Rams not suited for foreign waters.----------------

Personally my experience with Rams are bad. They don't seem to live for long in a tank. Long as in like 6 months to a year. *sigh*

Well basicalle Rams are very tolerent to water conditions. I've successfully breed them a few times and the last batch, I've about 150 frys. Due to space constrains, I stop breeding them as the frys grow very solwly.

A word of caution : rams seem to get stressed/diseased in LFS (poorly maintained) tanks rather easily. I've been hunting for golden rams for a while now (1+ mth). The rams in almost every shop i've been to were hit by ich and fin rot. I did not get them from the only place that had seemingly healthy 1s cos they tried to charge me $8 for a fish!!!
I finally bought 2 blue balloons and 1 golden balloon from TB today. While they r not in tip-top condition (i know that for certain cos the tank i netted was hit by ich just 3 days ago), i decided to "rescue" them cos they r just so cute (Just 1cm long at the moment). They are now in a plastic tank (3.5l) with enuff plastic plants to let them take cover.
I hope i can introduce them to their new home soon. Wish me luck.
