    Hi folks,

I just set up my Nano101 tank and was hoping to get some recommendation for some plants that i can use as a carpet on my substrate.

Planning to keep shrimps and a few badi badi in this small tank. Already setup a moss wall at the back of the tank.
Any good recommendation for a plant that can give that nice "carpet" look and will not grow too fast and requires minimal or even no trimming at all ???

    Thanks

    Hi Shadow.

I am using a PL lighting that comes with my dennerle nano101 tank.
If need to, I can also use liquid fertiliser

do you know how many watt and tank size (LxWxD)? Does it written on the bulb? Because it determine whether you need to add CO2 and fertilizer.

It is a 10 Litre Dennerle tank. Should be slightly bigger than 20cmx20x20.

Would recommend you removing your moss wall. Moss floor would be easier and low maintenance. Try Java moss, Taiwan moss for the moss floor.

moss can be use for carpet as well. you can try Spiky moss or Christmas moss. These two moss are the only moss that I know stay low, but only Christmas moss that I found really creeping.

Other plants maybe hairgrass, unfortunately you have limited choice with only 9W.

You can look at the moss information from this site

    http://www.aquamoss.net/

Didn't recommend spiky moss as I felt that it creates a layered effect. Saw 1 of the post here with taiwan moss as carpet, really nice.
