Not sure which forum this goes is, but seeing as its about plants this seems as good as any...

Are there any tropical fish species, or even some type of aquatic snail species, that consume dead plants? Such as when a leaf falls off and starts going soft?

My zebra plec tank has a fair amount of plants in it, and because of the rigours of the water flow often leaves go astray. I do my best to get them all out of the tank but some may escape my notice. A fish or snail that will eat only the softer dead leaves would be quite useful.

My Siamese Algae Eater eats shed Pennywort leaves. You can try that.

Ok I'll see if they have any in my local Maidenhead Aquatics store. What supplementary food do they need if they can't get algae or dead plant leaves?
