I posted a thread before, regarding what ferts i need to let my plants go straight up and not bend along the water surface and i realised hey, submersed plants are supposed to do that right? so, i decided to offer them some support, in a way that the top part of the stem is above the water. The plants that I've tried this on is my Hygrophila Polysperma 'Sunset' and my Hygrophila Difformis, and both can grow emersed. so what i would like to know is, will they be able to grow? Half of their stem length is under water, and Im not sure if that they will still register it as an emersed environment. both plants shud be able to comfortably exceed my water line, from the substrate to the surface is around less than 30 cm. Has anyone grown these plants out from their tank b4? My main objective is the flowers actually =D I know they'll be dropping their leaves to get new ones, but what other changes might i expect? stem? or is it no longer possible for them to change?
