Wow....!!! Really nice, bro. Feel like tearing down mine and copycat yours, can?
well chosen rocks very aesthetic. nice details, with different tones/shades and shapes.
Nice!! I'm looking for nice rocks, anyone know where to get it?
The rocks in lfs not much of variety. I'm having a 5ft tank would like to get medium to large rocks
Yes, matching them must really need good imagination, i'm glad all these stones not into waste and they match perfectly, exactly enough rocks for this tank.
Well, lots of time by luck and you got to be fast to decide and must have good eyesight when selecting. Most LFS do carry rocks but selecting them you really need some skills. You dont want to bring back bunch of rocks of no use, choose carefully.
WAH... 5ft tank , i think you need to bring back a mountain...

Adrian, you mentioned you dosing half EI... dry ferts?
also, the 4x24W T5 not giving you any algae issues?
Cheers,
Melvin Lim
Nope! the dry ferts is premix with RO water. So far so good, as new soil is very rich, you do not need to go full force yet but make sure CO2 is around 30ppm. Do more water change after first week, depending on what plant you have inside and how fast it consume the nutrients also. Do take note of KH(too high is no good for plant grow).
Currently have switch to full EI plus some of my own adjustment to get them kicking. Emmersed HC melted in the beginning but it has grown new shoots, so i guess it has successfully transform to submmersed form, the rest of the plant is growing crazily, everyday i see new grow.
Btw i've try on 120W on 1.5ft cube tank before. All experience is learned from the 13g tank.

all these iwagumi threads really got to me... i bought the 4x24W today!
next up is the co2 set and then when i have time, rocks and HC!
i have been buying and selling co2 sets too often these few years. keep chopping and changing setups, not by choice though
will have to rescape my low light CRS tank (2months+) to convert. you think my shrimps will survive? another headache...
Cheers,
Melvin Lim
bro. eyes opener , really nice setup.
i reserve those rock if you decom your tank.
Good to hear another setup of iwagumi tank. Welcome onboard. Iwagumi may look simple, but they are the most difficult hardscape to achieve compare to woods, etc, the selection of rocks, position of rocks, asthetic of rocks character, colour, plants etc etc... all this make up of iwagumi tank.
Those CO2 hardware stuff should be the last for sale as it can last for long use. Anyway you're helping the economy also.
CRS, this are really the sensitive shrimps around, i would not recommend for a new setup. Maybe you can try some Malayan shrimp first before introduce CRS.
