    Hi all,
Caught some fishes at the long kang last week, quarantined them for one week and gradually managed their brackish water to fresh water. I do have some need for IDs though.... Would appreciate it if anyone can help..

Is this a Goby? I have 2 of these....

This is a snake skin endler?

What fish is this? Its definitely not a guppy, looks really nice and transparent with bright eyes!

hi Paul, yes the first fish is a goby, can't help you with which species it is though.
the guppy i doubt if that is an endler, it looks more like a juvenile normal.
the last fish is one of the rice fish/lampeye of the Oryzias family, it looks a bit like celebensis but with it only being a youngster ?.

    Stigmatogobius poecilosoma or Pond Goby.

Commonly found here. I used to keep these when I was young. Very comical characters, they would each claim a spot like a rock or pebble and would try to chase anyone coming near it regardless of size.

    Thanks Bryan.

Yes, they're very cute. Which is why I decided to put them in my main tank. Really jazzes up the place. Hee...

I don't think that the goby is a Stigmatogobius sp. I think its more likely to be a species of Mugilogobius, possibly M. chulae.
