Is there a possibility that bacteria from the tank can cause infection in humans? eg. when you did not wash your hands clean enough after water change or filter washing and you later handle food etc...

definitely... there are lots of reasons that we can fall sick from handling things in our fish tank...

I know if we have cuts or abrasions, those could be subject to infection from fish diseases like fish TB, or ameobic infections

Got to be careful. Fish TB can infect you from your cuts.
Some fish like cardinals are carriers and do not exhibit it till they're old and weak.

If you got infected, it's 3 mths of anti-biotics and a biopsy on the infected site for you!

Have you found out if you have fish tb. I am worried about my father. We also live in the woodlands. What are your symptoms and have you been treated?
