Seaview has them
Seaview has them
beetroot, i've noticed the pic you had comes in blue and green hue. Do they come in red spots as well?
after conditioning, they should have more red on the body
thanks illumnae,
so does that mean that if water conditions are poor, they will lose their redness and become similar in color as the above pic posted by beeroot?
i think they lose their redness when stressed. It's not so much a water quality indicator. If you're looking for a "canary fish", try rummy nose tetras. They tend to lose the redness in their nose when water quality is poor
hi torque6, illumnae
red spots? at which part?
don't think mine have red spots on its body although it is growing fat, haha... but the red on its fins and tail are nicely coloured and more visible now. shiny blue eyes and blue hue are really nice too .
but very difficult to take a picture of it.
ok.. i have a few pictures here, my current sparky:

spotted anywhere else other than Seaview?
west side?
Anyone can tell where can I get it now since Sea View and Y618 have no stock currently. I have one lonely pcs now.
I've had success with this fish in my planted tank. The population seems to be growing at a comfortable rate - seen quite a few smaller sized ones around about 2-3cm. If you are interested, I can spare a few to you at a token. Pm me.

"Natura non facit saltum"
seen at c328 last night, right entrance on the floor near the lobsters.
A thousand apologies, i had a second and closer look, took the whole tub up from the floor. They are not sparkling gourami although the body shape, size, fins look similar. It is another kind as the body is plain, no colour. My apologies for the wrong information.
p/s: They have chocolate gourami too!
