Two or three weeks ago, I bought a DW with flame moss tied on it in C328, it was sold in a plastic bag without water. After I placed it into my tank, it turned light green -> yellow -> brownish -> a bit of blackish strands here and there, within 2-3 weeks. I have read in the forum that moss will convert from emersed to submerged form in the tank. Is it what I have observed? Or they are simply dying.. However, I have seen quite a few green new growths growing from the brown strands. Should I (1) leave it as it is; or (2) give the moss a haircut (as most of the brownish part is at the top 50% of the strands); or (3) pluck out those brownish or blackish strands? Any other suggestions are welcome as well.

    My tank:
    40cm x 25cm x 30cm
    13W PL light 6500K, 12hrs/day
    pH 6.8
    27-28 deg C

Fert dosage (started a week ago):
    Seachem Flourish
    Seachem Flourish Excel
    - both at half recommended dosage

    Thank you.

it take some time for the moss to adapt to a new enviroment, inho i suggest you just leave it and observe for anothor week or 2.

I also suggest leave it as it is, there is sign of growth, so it is ok. Can't comment how long since usually I bough submerged form but usually good amount of light and CO2 will help speed up the process.

Well bro just leave it there will do. My took almost a month before I see recovery.

Moss are extremely slow in growth unless you put in CO2.
