First plant to introduce... Riccia fluitans mainly due to shortage of time. With 1 month left, I don't think I can have enough patience to wait for moss to wrap round the branches
First completed bogwood... 3 more to go
My tank is taller than the usual 2ft... so 150W MH is not really that excessive
Currently I plan to keep temperature low by using 2 fans. Will install a water top up system to constantly top up with freshwater.
Thanks for the assurance... yeah 1 month to be exact
I happen to have all the ingredients to achieve that effect
Will try to go without chiller
Coming up shortly

interesting looking!
The planting area will feature:
1) Blyxa japonica surrounding the "tree trunk". They are from my previous 2ft tank.
2) Potamogeton gayi behind the "tree trunk". They are newly bought online.
3) Glossostigma elatinoides as foreground plant. All the way to the plastic dividers. Will plant them tomorrow.
hmm... looks pretty nice and clean. Wonder if you intend to remove the plastic divide. Sort of distracting for me.
Keeping.

A more interesting angle to look at the left side of the tank
Completed tying Riccia fluitans to the second bogwood, sitting on top of the first wood.
Currently using temporary lighting and I believe the tank will look deeper if I change the background to black
Wow the height of this tank is certainly high!
Your MH lighing will be very good to reach the depth.

Got a funny feeling with riccia on bogwood. Surface area is just too small. And with MH, feeling hits harder.
1 month still enough time for faster growing moss. Java, taiwan, spiky.
You tanks is not really that tall
Funny feeling? Well, let's see how's the outcome... part of the fun right? I seriously think the branches will look better with black background. Will give it a try this weekend.
I will have some Taiwan moss around the sandy area.
I guess it's a relative statement... but for most planted tanks, 45cm is considered tall for a 60cm wide tank. I just wonder why Amano seldom uses it
I think your riccia will look great as like your old forest tank. Riccia is a great plant, it is just how we use it in our scapes.
Coming along wonderfully. Certainly got me hooked on this thread

You can still remember that tank? Yeah I learned a lot from that tank and I've applied some of my knowledge into this tank.
For example, I purposely use this Hydor inlet as it will help trap floating Riccia from the surface I moved it to the front to take this picture
