    Hi guys,
I had some serious water cloudy problem for the past two weeks. I had tried changing water, stopping fertilizers, increasing potassium, using Ocean Free Crystal Clear and so much more I couldn't even remember them. I finally gave UV filter a tried for simply 3 days and this is how much it had helped.

Ignore about ugliness the plants setup please . Still doing my plants selections.

    Cloudy Water
    Cheers and Regards,

Wah loa, Sherwin, don't talk like I holding the patent rights for UVC filter can bo... hehehe....[]

    Kaipium,
I had it on and running 24hrs non stop for 3 days. It gave me a 40% difference in clarity just 6 hrs after I introduce it, but it took total 3 days to give me that crystal clear over all water.

After getting the perfect condition, I had my wife off the UV filter, introduce potassium, iron and other fertilizers immediately. It really looks good now.

E...Yap, I had the same experiences, tried all methods that you can name and UV light really cured my bacteria boom and green water, about 3 years ago. I used also the 11 watts UV light.

    Tips for full cure:
    1) slow down the filter a bit if your filter has pump rate exceed 1000L/hr to give more time for the UV to act. After about 72 hrs non-stop blast, the water will be CRYSTAL CLEAR.
    2) for the next 1 month, after water change, turn it for 24 hrs. Fertilize only after it as UV affects fertilisers.

Technically, it's not a filter. UV-C stands for UV clarifier. It kills patogens and algae floating in the water. It also happens to be bad for fertilisers too, hence running it permanently on a planted tank is not encouraged. Search for more info.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
