hmmm... the altum tank and the smaller tank (with the MH light).. what kind of gravel you use? all brown... is it dennerle sand?
all dennerle
david is a sucker for these stuff [:0]
eh david, your bleeding hearts look big enough to eat
Wow...nice!!!
Btw, the stands for the lighting hood...it is DIY?
Incidently, when calculating light requirement, does anyone of you take into consideration the depth of the tank plus the the distance between the light and the top of the tank (that gap)?
Cheers!
Hi Alan
thanks for the pat on the back[] ...as far as equipment and technology is concern, I am a sucker for them....and sooner or later sure get to try.....
Hi Tristan
Yep as what DEA has mentioned...the altum is all brown while my tetra tank is mixed black with dark brown.
Hi DEA
The 20 odd bleeding hearts are about 2in in length now very very red and very very hungry all the time...and because of them, my corys are suffering......think i have to haul out the corys and place them in your tank....
Hi James
Yes those light stand are custom made (my design) by my company's contractors that built counters for me. If you like i can always help you out. As the the lighting is concerned, before i actually do the height of the light stand, I use a light meter, wrap it in a plastic bag and drop it into the tank. Hold up the lights and take the reading......it is about 80% accurate as the medium(water compared to air) is different.....

hi Airstern
the stand are custom made out of Acylic...each is about 75 bucks.....depending on the design you want...my stands about 8in tall with a flat 2in width base....a 5 in rectangular hole has been cut away in the center to house an AC fan......
DEA...got to get the corys out soon.....perhaps this friday or what you let me know...but its the mouse-nosed type..please dont ask me for the name......[]
