Not sure if it's been noted, but if you go to the Botanic Gardens and take a look at the smaller freshwater pond on the left of the main path (enter from the Tanglin Road gate) before the big Swan Lake, you will find that it's now filled with many aquatic and marsh plants, including familiar species like Rotala macandra, Rotala indica (red and green), Gratiola, Cabomba, Limnophila, Nuphar, Anubias, Aponogeton and quite a few species of Cryptocorynes (pontiderifolia, balansae?, cordata?, wendtii?). Quite interesting to see all these growing outdoors under the sunlight. Please resist the temptation to steal plants if you visit.

    wow, this is new.
Last time I was there, there are only small quantity and variety of aquatic plants.

Got to love the revamped tanglin rd gate.

Any photo available on the marsh part? I know some you folks like to photo hunt there

Yap. I was there last week and saw that too. I think they just planted the aquatic plants as the C. Balansae don't look healthy. They will take some time to adapt.

    Budak,

Can edit and caption the photos for the benefit of our less knowledgeable members?

James, This is a forum for planted tank enthusiasts. Therefore, mostly singaporean with wet green fingers is seen here.

If you would like... there are other Singapore forums that specialize in Arowana, Pleco, and Cichlids. We can take this offline.
