Got base fert? How long has the plant been there? Could be that the substrate has run out of fert for it.

Stick one or two root fertiliser into the substrate near the plant... see if it revives in a week.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

    check the rhizome.

predicts: rhizome has complete rotted away, leaving only roots. some of the roots are black. the entire area around there smells of hydrogen sulphide
transplant the lotus somewhere else in the tank. maybe use some chopsticks or something to manually aerate the blackened area.

change water after that. (else h2s poisoning)

Vinz— Yes, there's base fert. and the plant been there for quite long time very big... the tank is quite old....and he uses Root Monster to supplement the base fert.

Chris—will check with him if it's like what U says
