    Dear all,

I have 2 otos in a 2ft planted tank. I dun really see much action from them as they are always hidding behind the background plants. Are otos shy by nature or is it becos I have too few a number of them? Thanks

Not too sure if they are shy. But the last batch I got (still with me), the small ones are very active and bold and they're always at the front looking for algae. Whereas for the big ones, one died after few days and the other always hide totally behind the big plants.

Similiar experience : I have 6 in my 2ft tank right now and only 5 of them are active when the lights r on. The loner (happens to be from my earliest batch) will only come out and play after the lights go off.

    sometimes otos are active
most of the time they're dormant
    no issue
unless you see them being harassed by fish and not reacting, it's ok
