    Dear all,

Just to let everyone knows that finally they have reached our shore.. Made no mistake this time round as previously there were some which was mistaken as Orange in C328 but they were not.. BUt this time they are for sure.. I just bought back the only 2 pieces in a bag which Auntie took them from the supplier as "sample".. Looks very stable to me.. So i took both of them home.. But wait.. I encouraged Auntie and she has placed an order of ten pieces which I think will arrive either tomorrow or the following day.. Hee. so guys.. You know what to do..

Care to share whether the price is closer to Tiger or Zebra Otto? OR cheaper than any one of them?

As they belong to the more "sensitive" type of fishes, I would say that
treat them as you would do to your common $1+ otos. That is, no great changes in temperature, water quality, ph, etc, etc. When there are
changes in your tank conditions, especially if it's for the worst, then they would probably be the most likely and first casualties.

I myself HAD kept them (Zebra, Tiger and Orange otos) unsuccessfully for
less than 6 months in the past. But I know the reason for their demise, mainly due to my replanting and rescaping activities, involving uprooting of plants, etc. I probably should have remove them before starting the rescaping. But I hate catching fishes in a heavily planted 4-foot tank

Had both Zebra and Orange Otos in my tank now. Let's see how long they last this round Looking forward to the next batch of Tiger Otos. Had miss the last recent batch when I was in hibernation mode for new fishes as a result of a bad algae attack.

Which LFS is it? For orange oto, I don't know. However, for zebra, it is definitely more expensive at this LFS.
