    Atoropersonatus (White Spotted Tiger) x5
    Pinheiroi ??(Yellow Back Leopard) x2
    Habrosus x7

Found 1 white sucking air from the surface swimming back stroke occassionally else swimming up and down like all the other corys. Thought nothing special. But next day 1 white and a Habrosus dead. []

Just before the White die, he swim erractically, try to go to the surface,
    unable to balance.
Noticed internal centrally the body has a red patch in an organ (Liver or Bladder?) as the white body is quite translucent.

Ammonia and Nitrite are 0. Water change regularly.

What's the suspected problem maybe? Swim Bladder ?Hopefully a one off case.

when i see red in the body, i think of internal bleeding
since so many died, it's probably something wrong with the water
i suspect your nitrite reading is not accurate

Dun worry, should be just stress when u intro them to the tank. Most cories can tolerate slightly higher nitrite and nitrate levels than usual. I know for sure cos my tank is still cycling (3rd week) and i have 8 dwarf cories (3x pygmaeus and 5x hasbrosus) in it for >1 week to date. I'm using a 1.5ft tank just to keep some dwarf cories and fancy shrimps (havent gotten them yet cos they probably wun do too well in a new tank)

I'll be suspecting transport and condition change shocks since the fishes came from so far away. Did you insulate the fish packaging cos the plane ride is really cold, maybe to cold for these tropical fishes.
    Cheers!!

thank for the tip. Reminds me I need to have proper care whenever I bring fishes home.

The above fishes are meant for my Taipei apartment 3Ft fish tank so they don't have a chance to take a plane ride.[:]

The duo has been dead for a week already. The rest doing very fine with rest of the cories. I think is just confined space stress case.

I would suspect internal parasites Dennis and treat the whole tank just in case.
I recently lost a few wild caught with the same symptoms and I am convinced it is an internal problem.

    hmm
in general i don't notice my wild caught cories dying when they're introduced to my tank, maybe because the wild specimens are more robust
