Nice tank. Rememeber to post pics when it's more mature.

But I'm curious, I thought those plants you're using, e.g. the hairgrass and the coconut tree looking plant in the corner, don't they require CO2? Are you using CO2 tablets or something?

    Hi Simon...

Nice setup. I am going to set up the same tank this sunday in my office. Thinking of low light setup. Say 11 watt, enough?

    Am also concerned about c02....

    cyberjob, yup.. from NA

wynx, depending on the wattage, u can get low light plants..

    this is the tank info:
    tank size: 30x30x30cm
water volume: 27litres or 7.15 USgal
lighting: 23watts Osram 6000k PL bulb with Ikea desktop lamp fixture
substrate: white fine sand, lonestar with JBL base fert below
    filter: Eden 304
Co2: DIY c02 with Dennerle flipper
    temp: ard 24degree
plants: xmas moss, hairgrass, C. wenditti, Tonina sp. Eriocaulaceae sp

I'm trying to get taller plants to cover the filter and flipper

Nice Simon ... errr I mean tank not Simon

I'm gonna get the same tank from NA too. Using the Eden 304 and Lonestar gravel as well. Hoping to set up a xmas moss/willow moss/ java fern tank to breed some shrimps. Come to think of it, I do need some tall plants to cover the filter too []

Simon, I noticed the lonestar gravel only at the back. U're planning to only plant stem plants at the back?

24c!, no wonder your Tonina sp is growing well without artificial soil substrate. Too bad i still cannot afford to buy chiller.

I think Simon not using chiller. Not economically sound. I think the reason why the temp is 24 degree celsius is due to the office environment....

    Nice!!!

However, I have a problem with pebbles and riversand. Mine pebbles seem to sink into the sand after a while.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
