    Waah [:0] [:0] [:0] ... So pretty.

Where can i find the 2nd and 3rd type? How much do they cost?

I'm setting up a dwarf cory + shrimp tank now and was intending to get some cherry shrimps in a mth's time (2wk old tank is only "safe" for hardier fishes and not shrimps).

Hi I'm new to this forum...

Those shrimp are really nice...whats the name of the 3rd one?Any idea of the price?

Qn: I have a slightly less than one foot planted tank using DIY CO2...is it possible to keep apistos in there? If i do keep apistos, how many neons would u recommend me to keep for the pair to foster closer and better relations?

    Thanks and regards...

the so-called mosquite shrimp was seen in lfs ard the isle.. I think its seasonal.. as for the 3rd shrimp, I got no idea, never seen before

bailey, if the tank is that small, I advise against having anyother fishes... apisto eat shrimps, tetra eats apisto fry

    Hi there again...[:0]

I have another friend who just had fry(Which are free swimming by now) and inside the same tank (2 feet), he keeps 6 other neon tetras as fish for the apisto pair to chase. I heard from a source tt this method fosters a closer relationship between the male and female. Also so far,the no.of fry remain the same.

Right now in my friend's tank, the female and male are very protective of their fry.
    Male: Chases neons away
Female: Chases the male and neons away from the fry

So it seems tt it's not a problem keeping neons....should i follow suit?
She seems to be doing a great jod when i saw them the other day!

    thank u so much...

recommend dither fish is species that wouldnt/unlikely to go for the frys... I have tetra with my apisto too, but depending on the size of the tank

TFH recommend using pencilfish for dither

Simon is these pics taken from your tank???? I think cherry red shrimp is able get it from Bioplast and the 3rd kind of shrimp (white spotted????) can get from C328.
But for the mos shrimp..... I heard before but this is the 1st time I saw it. Curious if it is a good algea eater. See any LFS selling this????
Hahaha just go and take a look with my own eye.[:]

Simon, are the cherry shrimps from NA red? I've heard a few saying they are quite disappointed in the colour of the shrimps from NA. Chan is a nice guy and much much better than ah bengs from other LFS. I would like to get it from him if possible.

Don't bother if its Black cats or White cats, so long as it can catch Rats. Its a Good Cat.

hold yr shrimps [] those shrimps in the pix isnt mine, nor did i take those pics.. yes, chan keeps them in the tank at the bottom at the back.. in terms in colour, Chan's is kinda smaller but I do see tiny red spots on the body.. the only one I got from bioplast is red...

hatchet is a very unlikely predator to apisto fry, simply becoz they are both different region/level fish, hatchet stays near to the surface and the apisto the bottom of the tank..beware hatchet are jumpy and skip on the water surface went scared... i lost 30 hatchet fishes in my 6ft

    Simon,

I read it fr other web site there is another known as red yamato which is less bright in red than cherry. Wonders is it the same as the one at NA? Or is red yamato = cherry

I think the 3rd picture is green shrimp. See link:
