    never had hairgrass in my 1' cube b4.
    it was riccia then, now moss.
    might consider doing a hairgrass cube though.

    yep, rescape again. actually, i rescape all the time.
    yes, the SAEs are huge, so are all the tetras. they are in my tank since i started almost 2 yrs back. my rummy noses actually spawned a few times! [:]

    ryan,
    the 1' cube cost me abt $30 at Soon Heng Hougang. I'm using ikea lights. I don't recommend what i'm using now. there's another type from ikea that doesn't come with bulb. cost abt $10 if i remember correctly. get the electronic ballast screw on PL separately. can choose your own Wattage up to 50W i think.

    yr rummynose spawn a few times... so lucky.. so what happen to the frys?

    as with most tetras, they don't spwan at a spot. they scatter the eggs. i only notice that they are spawning when i saw a few rummynoses tailing the female. they are eating the eggs as the female spawn. saw some eggs stuck at the surface skimmer too. don't think it's possible to breed tetras in a community tank.

    in fact my DDs were given by Sherwin long time ago.
    didn't buy the MMs either.

    hey mok... thanks for the info... but why do i have to get the E-ballast when i get the lights from ikea? should it come with the ballast already? and how much does your lights cost?
    oh... where is that place in hougang?
