    Hello guys,

I've set up a new 1 feet tank using xmas moss (on driftwood) and willow moss. Setup is only 1 week old++. Some BIG yamatoes were put in for 2, 3 days but after a water change, most of them died. I quickly removed 2 of the yamatoes to my main tank and managed to save them [:0] A platy was in there for 2 days.

Tonite when I came back and switched on the lights, I noticed some white worms. Having seen them before in my main tank, I sort of ignore them till I notice some white spots in the water!!! These white spots were darting 0.5cm, stop, dart again, stop, continously. Using a small magnifying glass, I could barely make out their shape. From what I can see from the biggest one, they have a oval body, with a small tail and also another 2 small flippers!!!

What are these? Shrimp fries? Cannot be possibly yamatoes fries as I know they are almost impossible to breed in captivity right? Any advise?

water fleas are often used as food for fighting fish fry.
i suggest you remove the white worms and do a water change.

CT might be right. In any case, most fishes will eat them up.

Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

water fleas don't have tails but they certainly swim with a jerking movement. they could be just shrimp fry or water fleas if u can make out their shape clearer.

Heh cannot see them clearly lah. They do dart around quite fast. If they're fries, then good!!! If they're fleas, just nice for my upcoming shrimp tank!!! [:] [:]

could be cyclops or its nauplii. I was experimenting with "green water" recently, so i went to the nearby park and got some pond water. After a week, i observed some white darting dots, and seems quite similar to your description. try searching with "cyclops" and "copepod" , might be able to find some info and pictures from the internet.
