    Hi guys,

Just came back from C328. Saw a tank with about 10 the orange lyretail. Of which 4 of them were Aphysemion Australe (golden)!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, 2 of the fishes were already infected with Columnaris. Looks pretty severe and from the judge of it, seem to be Type A, acute form.

Some of the other lyretail also seem to be infected with some kind of ulcer. The end of the tail seems to be swollen and whitish.

Sad....If they were all healthy, they will all definitely be in my tank now. But I've learned the hard way about buy fishes from reliable source and dare not take the risk anymore.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

    actually
    if i were into kilis
    i would rescue them
if you have a planted tank, it's the best place for them to recover
i still have the cory i rescued from petmart 1 yr ago one of my favourites
    still can't ID him tho

With Columnaris type A, it's quite pointless. The fish dies within hours. And if you don't have a hospital tank, you risk infecting your whole tank.

    Not a good idea.

Besides, the only way to teach LFS not to be cruel to their fish is not to buy them. Only when business is affect will they take notice to improve. Just my 2 cents.

    Cheers,
