For those who still do not know, the ADA Nature Aquarium Party will be held on the 17th Oct 2009 at the Tokyo International Forum.

just keep this thread alive and have a show of hands for interested parties, or email us will do. We should form a group, get the numbers and we can all put on a polo T, it will be fun. Last year, one the local ADA club had a group of supporters, all clad in their favourite t-shirts took with Amano's face printed on them

The atmosphere will be great. After the event, we can all go to another location called Sky Aquarium, where they hold an annual event to showcase all great works to coincide with the ADA Party. We all can refer to Genes' last year's photos which he took. Drooling tanks.

I've been in Japan couple of times but never have a change to visit ADA headquarter mainly because the group I went with is not Aquarist.

The itinerary is 17th for the party in Tokyo and 19th for the party in Niigata.
Who are keen to stay on and sight see? Or even go a few days earlier.

The most expnsive probably hotel but it is cheaper if you want to stay at backpaker hotel.

Dormitory 2940 yen per person
Twin 8295 per room
4 Bed private 11760 per room

Hostels or homestays. I heard accomodation in outskirts are much cheaper.
I think according to cost-1. airticket, 2. transport, 3. accommodation-if it's a 5 day 4 night thing. Food obviously can be more or less depending if you plan to eat like a king or only have budget to eat sensibly.

Hiking during oct at mt fuji, not really recommend due to snow and cold wind.... read from website.
