New to Marine Tank Setup - Help!

Planning to setup a marine tank soon. Already have a 2.5 ft IOS tank with me.

My questions are:
1. Is it a must for IOS tank to have a protein skimmer too?
2. Which type of protein skimmer should I use? Any recommendation?

Look for their address at the bottom left of the website. They are the distributor for Deltec in Singapore. You can view the Deltec tank there too if you're planning to upgrade in the future.
