For a new setup, what should be the lighting period. Should i start off straight with 10hours or start off with 6 and gradually increase by 1 hour per week until it reaches 10. Any expert to comment?

    Hey wikiboy,

What are the specifications of your tank? (size, type of lighting and wattage)

Also, what kind of plants are you intending to keep? Some plants require stronger illumination such as hc.

Plants usually benefit most from 4 hourly intervals of lighting with co2 injection.

it depends on the type of plants you have. Lights you have. and size of your tank. where you place your lights. Quite alot of factors. Maybe you can list them down for those experts to help you.
