maybe his toking abt the hairy algae..
well. its like the christmas tree version of algae. forms a tall primary stem (about 4 cm) and then erm: something resembling a christmas tree.
staghorn is quite bad
but it doesn't spread as much as the other types of algae
i found mine to grow only on the tips of the plants
ime it takes a very unbalanced tank to cause this algae to flourish
for me, it was trying to add base fert to the tank AFTER adding the water that resulted in it
just do more water changes and cut off the algae when you see it
it'll go away
I'm not even sure if its staghorn though.
is my description correct? it grows at the base of the hair grass on the gravel itself. doesn't grow on any plant at all.
whitish translucent, feels solid?
dark grey colored, feels slimy when you rub it arond your hands, rather tough. like the chinese "fa cai."
should be staghorn
the red variety exists too
slimy, i can't remember
