hi, i would like to know if 2x20w FL lights is enough for my 2 ft planted tank. i hope to have mini hair grass, red lotus, and cabomba. i know this plants require high lights and wonder if they will be enough. my tank is 60x35x30 which is roughly 16 gallons.

I think you'll find that the general recommendation for lighting is 3W/gallon so if you have a 16 gallon tank, you should get about 50W of light, be it PL or FL, especially for light intensive plants.

Your lighting should be fine for HG and red lotus. No experience on cabomba though.

Just try it out first. You can always add a tube later or convert one of the 20W FL to a 36W PL.
