Sure thingy a ram is the common name given to the South American dwarf cichlid or butterfly cichlid (microgeophagus ramirezi)... they are superbly beautiful, shy and peaceful fish... Rams are one of my personal favourite aquaria...
Dont take my word for it... here check out this stunning German Blue Ram yourself
Your planted tank set up is nice. You may want to plant the stem plants closely together when the plants are overgrown during pruning. Then you can create a dense forested planted tank.
To: All Bros,
Thanks for the info and advise.

I see some symptoms of poisoning in your tank. Got 2 thermometers, wide variety of plants and even CRSs. You upgrading your tank soon?
if im not wrong, this thread should belong to the aquascaping instead.
anyway, nice community tank and got the amazon look, as mentioned by zoothefreak. The bogwood shape also not bad. How many bogwood are there in your tank? 1 or 2?
btw, the 2 pipings on the left are both inlets for your filter?
hey sure you can buy this locally quite common in a number of LFS here... usually cost between $3.50 - $5 a piece... they even cultivated balloon rams but personally I love the original cichlid shape not the mutated version...
...I'm da in da deep blue ...

Thanks Bros,
2FT Tank is good enough for me, don't want to upgrade to bigger Tank.
I don't think my scaping is good enough to post in the Aquascaping Thread.
There is owe one Bogwood in the tank which is the Middle one.
Yes, the 2 pipings on the left are for Inlets to the filter. It is joinned and the one behind is connect to the Surface Skimmer.
