It could be possible that your nana was grown emersed when you bought it. If so, it is normal that it would shed leaves as it is adapting to growing submersed.
Don't worry, new leaves will sprout again eventually.
Hi all,
I'm quite new to the forum- have been lurking a bit. Started my first planted tank in Singapore after moving back from the UK a few months ago.
I just bought some Anubis Nana a few days ago and my experience is that it's pretty bulletproof- because my tank is pH 7.5-8 with temp 28-9, I thought it would be pretty good but it started to shed leaves and suffer from what I can describe as melt but on the stems.
I;ve never had this before and was wondering if anyone can help me?
thanks!

"Do not look down on anyone, unless you are helping them up!"
just make sure you did not buried the rizhome
Thanks Guys. I've also managed to acquire a really nice plant which I haven't had any experience with but I think it would do well. Will post pics of it when I get the chance!
Sorry guys,
I was wondering if there was any other cause of Anubis melt?
Other than what Shadow mentioned which is you buried the rhizome of the plant ( The rhizome has to breathe ) another possible cause could be plant parasites / too strong lightings. There is a possibility also that your plant might be melting due to the high PH/GH in your water ( 7.5-8 you mentioned ) Im not sure of how far you can stretch the durability of the anubias plants but i do have experience of melting of plants when the PH is high.
Thanks-
I've tied the plants to DW so the rhizomes aren't covered but the whole thing is exposed to full light. I'll move it tomorrow into a shadier part. I'm already buffering down the pH with moss...
I'll let you guys know how it goes!
